I'm Rick Veague from the corn fields of Indiana. Born and raised in the southwest Chicago burbs, I began organ lessons at 9 y/o and have been playing for 39 years theatre organ mostly with some church-subbing. When I heard the Chicago Stadium organ as a kid, that did it! Was it the voice of God, or the Barton? In the late 60s, I was one of the house-organists at the Rialto Theatre in Joliet, Il. playing the 4m/24r Barton. In the Army, I played for Special Services sometimes AND was a Spec-4 Field Radio Mechanic.

Once a civilian again, I resumed the music business when mom and dad retired to Florida. I had the pleasure of working with Don Baker,Tiny Tim, Rudy Valee, Frank Fontaine and the Harmonica Rascals as house organist at the Orpheum in Clearwater Fl.

At the same time, I sold WurliTzer organs and pianos, and installed a 2m/9r Wurli at Central Music in Clearwater. The instrument is now in a residence up the road from me here in central Indiana- thats how I wound up here!

What started as a hobby, is now a full-time business of restoring and servicing pipe organs, player pianos, street organs and old clocks.

I'm glad to join you all, and hope to make friends and help others in any way I can with their "beast in the house".
