I am Stan Krider. I work for a central Ohio pipe organ company. My wife does not share my interest in theatre organs, however, she will accompany me to some of the more spectacular concerts, read Sanfilippo, Lord & Taylor (nee Wanamakers), etc.

Since I don't have the money needed to thow at my own pipe organ, I live vicariously through the experiences of those who can afford to. I helped install a nearly 50 rank Austin, complete with Universal Chest, about two years ago. What an experience.

I am also a member of the Central Ohio Theatre Organ Society and the Columbus Chapter AGO. My personal goal is to encourage people who have built pipe organs in their homes (and elsewhere) regularly invite young people into their homes, two or three at a time. During these Open Console/Organ Crawls let the youngsters play the instruments and tour (if convenient) the chambers.

The seeds of organ appreciation must be planted in these youngsters if our churches and organ clubs are to have a new crop of organists when these older ones die.
